10 Cars that are Expensive and Inexpensive to Insure

There are some cars out there that are extremely expensive to keep insured. Whether they are expensive because they are sports cars or simply because of the color of the car, it will take a huge chunk of change to keep these cars legally insured. There are also some cars that take almost nothing to keep insured.

1.    Porsche 911 –

 

If you can afford to buy this car in the first place, you probably want have a hard time keeping it insured. It can be known as one of the most expensive cars to receive insurance on. This is because it is not only a sports car; it is an extremely fast sports car.

2.    Subaru Impreza WRX –

 

This is another one of the most expensive cars to keep insured. It is considered to be a sporty car. When these cars can go very fast and can be modified easily, they are generally very expensive to keep insured.

3.    Honda Odyssey –

This minivan is on the complete opposite side of the spectrum. This is considered to be one of the cheapest vehicles to get insurance on. This is probably because it is considered a mommy-mobile that is pretty safe in all sorts of driving conditions.

This is a four door “grandma” car that is considered to be the cheapest car out there to have insurance on. It is long like a boat and can probably run another over. The reason the insurance is so cheap is because you probably don’t have to worry about any damage being done to this tank of a car.

5.    Mercedes CLS Class –

This is on the more expensive side of the spectrum. The Mercedes cars are considered luxury cars. When you purchase an expensive car, you can bet the insurance will be expensive as well. This is because it can be difficult to make any repairs on these cars.

6.    Dodge Charger –

This sporty muscle car is on the most expensive list because they are known for racing these cars. They have huge motors that are great for street racing. A lot of the users race these cars because of the mean and rugged look and sound they have. Insuring a race car can be pretty expensive.

7.    Subaru Outback –

This is a station wagon looking vehicle. The station wagon cars are cheaper to insure because they are usually used as family cars. The soccer moms will use these to carpool their children around.

8.    Chrysler Town and Country –

This is another one of the “grandma” cars that can be considered a tank. These are extremely long and do not go too fast. They are meant for a leisure driver who just needs to get from point A to point B. This insurance is reasonably cheap for one of these kinds of cars.

9.    Nissan 350Z –

This is another one of the sports cars that are known for going fast and racing. Whenever a vehicle has a reputation of racing, the insurance companies will be able to jack up the prices. Insuring one of these vehicles could essentially cost you an arm and a leg.

10.    Ford Five Hundred –

This is one of the luxury cars of Ford. It has a smooth look and feel and doesn’t go very fast. The slower the car can go, the less money you will have to spend on insurance.
